Thank goodness for Northview church! They have reinstated our use of the building for Jacob's Place!!! Keep an eye on this site to see when the first open date is! We will be able to keep our soccer teams forming, family night and have YSFA back again!

Jacob's Place is sad to say that we have lost our funder for the rec center. We want to thank everyone for the past couple of years in the building. At this time programs have to close due to this but the Barnett family is working very hard to get Jacob's Place back up and running for the kids! Please mark your calendars: Jacob's Place open gym is moving to the first Saturday of every month from 1 to 3 pm. This Saturday is excluded because of the Superbowl! Friday the 10th and 24th will be Family night at 7:00 pm! Hope to see you there!

Jacobs Place soccer sign up is going on this week! To be on a team we need you to send an email to kristineshouse@yahoo.comindicating that you would like a spot by February 12th! The teams will meet on Sunday afternoons for five weeks. Team members need to check their calendars and be sure that they will be available from late February to the beginning of April for practice as their teams are counting on them! All of the kids will receive a team T shirt for participating at the end of the season! There is no fee to play soccer.

Okeydokee gang, ramping into our 3 on 3 soccer league. Here's the idea: either sign up individually and be placed on a team, or get a group of 3 together yourself and set your own team. Once a week, we will play 1 or 2 games on gameday (20 minute games, with a 3 minute halftime). Those that sign up will need to be committed to coming every gameday, as your teammates and your opponents will be counting on you!
So, please comment below on a couple of things. 1. If you are interested. 2. Thinking of a different day. Let us know if Thursday 7-9pm works for you, or Sunday 2-4pm works better!

Thank you to everyone for participating in our 4 months of free self defense at Jacob's Place. Last Thursday we had a great time "graduating" our martial artists! In case you weren't there, remember, we will be retooling over the next 7-10 days and getting rolling on our 3 on 3 youth soccer league! Jacob's Place It would be so great to see you again! Michael does self defense for special needs kids every Thursday night at 730pm (this is light hearted and fun) and there is Open Gym every Saturday 10am-1pm. Hopefully the whole family can make it up there this Saturday!
